We had a wonderful time staying at Happy Venice. It felt as if we were staying with our Italian aunt Gina who made sure always had plenty to eat, clean sheets and a quiet water view. Much is made on this site of Italian being the language spoken here-- being that Venice is in Italy, that makes sense. If you're looking for a luxury tourist hotel, go find one elsewhere. If you want to feel like you actually live in Venice for however long you stay, then stay here.

Our visit to Venice was made very special because of this delightful B & B. The location was perfect and the directions (with photos) made finding it easy - a bit like a treasure hunt.
Our room was elegant, spotless and extremely comfortable. Also very warm as we were visiting in a snow storm. Our hostess was a helpful as could be and made up for our lack of Italian.
The breakfasts were convenient, ample quantity and a good variety of foods and there were little snacks in our room.

No Gina can't speak English but we always seem to work it out in the end. Most of the time she just takes you where you need to go. She is the sweetest little Italian lady you will ever meet. Don't let her age fool you, and if you ask her a question be prepared to go, because she walk fast and cut through the crowds like a hot knife through butter. Happy Venice is a bargain. Don't try and find it with a google map it drops you on the wrong side of the island.
