We were 6 people traveling throughout Italy. It was unfortunate that we stayed at Masseria Cesarina for only three nights. The accomdations were excellent, rooms were immaculate, breakfast was very nice, but most of all the hosts were great. Julia, Alex and Tony were just plain wonderful to be with, they were very personable and helpful. In fact during our trip we met people who were traveling to Puglia and we recommended their B&B. If we get to the Puglia region again Masseria Cesarina is a must stay.

My husband and I enjoyed two weeks at Masseria Cesarina in June during the cherry harvest. The owners are English and Italian which turned out to be lucky for us because they are well known and liked in the region amongst local Italians of all ages. We were introduced to a variety of local customs. Most of all, we felt we had unlimited freedom to move around, make coffee in the large farmhouse style communal kitchen whenever we wanted, as well as to have privacy when needed. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual and very comfortable. The location is perfect for access to Alberobello and other sites of important cultural and historical interest. The food in the region is of the highest quality and a trip to Castellana Grotte's Saturday morning fruit and veg market is a must for those who like good food. It is paradise for those who like the finest wine, olive oil, fruit and meat. Look out for Ferrovia variety cherries and miniature pears with a reddish blush. I would not hesitate to recommend Masseria Cesarina to anyone traveling to this outstandingly beautiful region of Puglia which, in my view, must be the best kept secret in Europe.
