OBZ, Observatory, the colourful, boho student neighbourhood has su much to offer, Jam-packed with quaint bars, vibey restaurants of all sizes, atmospheres and flavours, live music venues, pool bars and so much more; as well as a stones throw from the train line, Obz really is the place to be.
. during the Apartheid years, Observatory was one of the few colourful suburbs in Cape Town where all races lived together. It continues to be a somewhat alternative part of our beautiful city, a fact of which our residents are very proud! Obz boasts a variety of funky clothing and trinket stalls, book stores and art shops, as well as a monthly Holistic Fair (!!!) which takes place at the Community centre on the first Sunday of each month. Obz, being so close to UCT, is known as the student area, and so is always packed with vibey young students. | | Transportation | Train, Bus, Public Taxi, cab. | | Airport | Cape Town international, 12km |
