Overview

Our beautiful house has very nice common areas which include a bright fully equiped kitchen for passengers to use, calm living room with cable TV and books to share, internet in the hall, WiFi and a sunny backyard with barbecue area at your disposal.

We have spotless double rooms with private bathroom and an ample seven bed dorm with private bathroom. All with breakfast included, internet for free, WiFi, and all the common areas mentioned before.

You will see how our hall is also an art gallery, with paintings from young Vaparaiso's artists being constantly displayed. Come have a look!

Location & Transportation
  DirectionsWe are located a few blocks away from Pablo Neruda house, steps from the open air museum and in the heart of Valparaiso.
  TransportationHow to get here:
From International Airport in Santiago: You should take the Tur-Bus transfer to metro station Pajaritos, line 1. On the same place the bus drops you catch a bus that says Valparaiso, there is plenty of companies going every 15 minutes, and get of in Terminal. The trip is an hour and a half long, passing through the wine valleys towards the ocean. The Valparaiso terminal is just opposite from the national congress building on Pedro Montt Av. In the same avenue take any bus that reaches Plaza Victoria, its one the most traditional plazas in the city and almost every bus has to go there, once in the plaza locate a huge multistore building "Ripley" and on the street behind it find the little entrance to Espiritu Santo elevator, or ask. Once you get out of the elevator youll be in the middle of the open air museum with beautiful murals, walk straight and up, when you reach Hector Calvo street take a left and one block up on 371 you will see Hostal Caracol.

Inside Valparaíso:
Colectivo: They leave from subida ecuador, a well known street, any colectivo that says Beltran is good, tell the driver to drop you at the Carmelitas church on Hector Calvo, once out of the colectivo walk two blocks down hill until 371 and on your right hand you will see the yellow walls of Hostal Caracol.

By bus: In the corner of Francia Av and Colon Av take a bus that goes uphill through Baquedano street towards La Sebastiana (Neruda´s house). Get of on Ferrari street and walk downhill right in front of the poets house. Take the left road when walking down and keep going for four or five blocks down hill, two blocks after the Carmelitas church Hector Calvo 371 on yourright hand side you will see the yellow walls of Hostal Caracol.
