Description - Camp

Our campsite is full to the brim with young, like-minded travellers from around the world. We love Spain and we love Haro, especially during the wine fight where the whole town goes crazy and trudges up the hill to have an epic battle of red, red wine. Of course we join in.

The night before the wine fight (which we fondly call San Vino), we head into town to party with the locals. They have local artists performing on stages and dancing in the square. Next morning we head up the hill with the entire town and commence the battle. Then we wash off in the river and pass out or keep partying at camp.

We also offer transport options from either Barcelona or San Sebastian please book here then contact us for this option.

For 10€ /day you can add on UNLIMITED BEER AND SANGRIA served at the campsite.

Neighborhood

Our campsite is located in Haro, which is in the region of La Rioja which is the number one wine making district of Spain and every year the traditional wine fight or the battle as know to the locals takes place on a hillside vineyard just outside the village of Haro.

A battle so fierce that the vineyard and surrounding hillsides turn red, and the revellers walk or stumble away covered from head to toe in lovely bright red wine.

Check Ryanair, Easyjet and Vueling for cheap deals. There’s always plenty of cheap deals. From Bilbao airport there are regular buses to San Sebastian. To get to San Sebastian from Biarritz International Airport take a French SNCF train to Hendaye, change to the nearby Euskotren station (located just outside the SNCF station) and take a Euskotren to San Sebastian. Each train ride is between 30-40 minutes, with the total train trip cost less than €10. A coach service also exists between Biarritz airport and the Hendaye train station, via Saint-Jean-De-Luz (change buses there). The coach ride is less than one hour and costs about €4.
