Punta Hermosa is a small surfing village 1 hr south of Lima. The camp is just 200 m from the beach, with 17 waves within 10 km. There are MANY waves within walking distance of the camp. We've got waves all year - excellent for beginners through expert.
Private and double rooms with private bath and dorm rooms with shared bath. Great food (Peruvian and international) and daily transport to the local waves is included. We've also got a common room and terrace with hammocks; movies, magazines, book exchange, board games, BBQs, etc.
Day trips to other nearby areas and Surfaris along the entire Peruvian coast are also available.
Great people with lots of knowledge to share about the area and culture.
Surfing lessons, equipment rental and Spanish lessons are also available. | |

The camp is located in a quiet and safe residential area just 200 from the ocean and many waves. The town is small, but gets very busy in summer (December to March) with locals from Lima and there is great night life at that time. It's a very quiet town in winter. | | Directions | Urb. Pick-up in Lima is included for stays of 3 or more nights in a all inclusive private room . Otherwise we can arrange pick-up in Lima for $50 US. | | Transportation | Hostal pick-up or secure taxi recommended. It is possible to arrive by local bus (any bus heading south from lima to Punta Hermosa (there are many). Get off at the local market and take a moto taxi to La Planicie, Manzana R, Lote 24. However, arriving by bus is not easy if you are not familiar with the area, don't speak much Spanish and/or have a surfboard. | | Airport | Lima - 1 hr or 60 km |
